Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how History Pass uses cookies and similar storage on https://history-pass.lol.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage, which websites can use to remember preferences in your browser.

How History Pass uses them

Essential / preference storage

When you choose Accept or Decline on our cookie banner, we store your decision in the browser’s localStorage under the key hp_cookie_consent (with a timestamp key hp_cookie_consent_ts). This lets us hide the banner on later visits and respect your choice.

  • Accepted — you allow optional analytics if we enable them in the future.
  • Declined — we will not load optional analytics scripts based on that preference.

Optional analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which Atlas regions are popular). Such tools only run if you have accepted cookies. If declined, the site still works fully for reading and contacting us.

Third-party fonts

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may process technical connection data according to Google’s policies. Loading fonts is part of presenting the site’s design.

Managing your choice

You can clear site data in your browser settings to remove localStorage values. After clearing, the cookie banner will appear again so you can set a new preference. You can also control cookies generally through browser settings.
